Time Capsule Standard (TCS)

TCS is a rotating 1v1 format designed for brewers who want a relatively stable play environment, similar to the Extended format. By combining a small static core of sets, a large rotating pool, and an evergreen Time Capsule, the metagame is kept stable and slowly shifting. The format uses a Points List to make sure decks remain diverse and well-balanced.

Rules:

Deck Size: 60 cards minimum.
Sideboard: 15 cards maximum.
Starting Life: 20 life.
Card Limits: Players may have a maximum of four of any one legal card in their combined deck and sideboard, aside from lands with the basic supertype and cards with rules that explicitly override this limitation.
The Time Capsule Slot: You may choose exactly one card name from the Time Capsule set list. You may include up to 4 copies of that named card in your combined deck and sideboard.
The Points Limit: A combined deck and sideboard may contain no more than eight (8) points worth of cards, including any Time Capsule cards. Each copy of a card counts toward the point total.
